HOW TO GET TO VALENCIA

  1. By airplane

The international Valencia airport (8 kilometers west of Valencia) ensures flights to 25 European destinations. There are daily connecting flights to Madrid (40 minutes) and Barcelona (25 minutes).

Also, there are some european low-cost companies flying directly to Valencia:

    • flying from Brussels, Paris, Milan, and Rome
    • flying from London, Milan, and Rome
    • flying from London, Bristol and Berlin

From the airport you can take a taxi or a bus.

Taxi. You can take a taxi from the airport to your hotel. It takes around 25 minutes and costs 12-18 euros.

Bus. There are cheaper options: outside the airport you can take a bus that has several stops in the city ('Avenida del Cid' and 'Calle de Cuenca') before it gets to the coach station. The journey takes about 50 minutes and costs 0.90 euros. From each of these stops, you can get a bus or the metro to the city center. A single ticket of the metro is 1 euro.

  2. By train

The Valencia railway station, called 'Estación del Norte', is located in the city center. The Spanish railway company Renfe provides connections with most cities in Spain and some european cities. Click here for timetables and prices or buy the tickets here.

There are daily fast trains from Madrid (3 hours and 30 minutes) and Barcelona (3 hours) to Valencia.

MAKE RESERVATIONS AS SOON AS POSSIBLE

The workshop coincides with the famous Valencia Fallas Festival (March 15 - 19) which is one of the biggest Festivals in Spain. So flights or trains can be difficult to reserve.

Do not delay in booking your flight!!!
